Altadena Girls To Receive Beauty Impact Award at Hollywood Beauty Awards, Becky G To Present

Today, the annual Hollywood Beauty Awards (HBAs) announced that they will honor Avery Colvert with The Beauty Impact Award for Altadena Girls. Hit recording artist and Latin Grammy nominee Becky G will present.

The HBAs will celebrate a decade of honoring the architects of beauty on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Avalon Hollywood, a black-tie dinner ceremony benefitting Helen Woodward Animal Center.

The HBAs recognize talent in hair, makeup, photography and styling for Film, TV, Music, the red carpet and editorial, as well as special honorees.

When devastating wildfires struck Los Angeles in January, 8th grader Avery Colvert launched Altadena Girls to support those affected by the Eaton Canyon Fire.

With the help of volunteers, public figures, brands and even the Hollywood Beauty Awards community of artists, Avery’s vision came to life in less than 24 hours. Altadena Girls became a safe space for self-care; with makeup, haircare and more for the teen girls impacted.

What began as a grassroots effort is now a national movement, restoring dignity, confidence, and connection for girls facing loss or hardship.

Today, the organization is evolving with a flagship community space, prioritizing mental health through workshops, mentorship, and therapeutic programs; cultivating an environment where girls are empowered—not just as survivors, but as leaders, creators and changemakers.

Avery and Altadena Girls have proven that beauty is not just seen, but felt in the support we give and the lives we uplift.

Avery Colvert will accept The Beauty Impact Award at the black-tie ceremony on Sunday, April 6, 2025 benefitting Helen Woodward Animal Center.

Oscar® nominated makeup artist Donald Mowat is the 2025 HBA Ambassador.
