The annual Hollywood Beauty Awards (HBAs) announced that the renowned Clive Christian will be honored with Fragrance of the Year at the 10th ceremony.
The HBAs will celebrate a decade of honoring the architects of beauty at the 10th HBAs on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Avalon Hollywood.
Past Fragrance of the Year honorees include Britney Spears for her longtime Revlon/Elizabeth Arden fragrance collection partnership, Paris Hilton for Gold Rush with Parlux, Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Baccarat Rouge 540, Mugler Star and Dior’s Sauvage.
With a heritage dating back to 1854, Clive Christian is synonymous with luxury perfumery, rooted in the legacy of the Crown Perfumery Company. Originally founded by corsetier William Sparks Thomson, the house was a favorite of Queen Victoria, who granted the use of the royal crown on its bottles—a hallmark that remains today. Thomson, known for his exquisite corsetry, infused his designs with the delicate scent of orange blossom, a symbol of love and devotion inspired by Prince Albert’s cherished gift to Queen Victoria. This floral emblem became an integral part of the brand’s identity.
Revived in 1999 by Clive Christian OBE, the brand redefined haute perfumery with its commitment to the world’s finest ingredients, artistry, and bold olfactory compositions. From the launch of The Original Collection in 2005 to the record-breaking Imperial Majesty—recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s most expensive perfume—the house continues to set the standard for opulent craftsmanship.
In 2020, Clive Christian honored its heritage with the Crown Collection, reintroducing historic fragrances like Crab Apple Blossom and Matsukita. Marking 150 years of excellence, 2022 welcomed Timeless and Contemporary, a tribute to the past and future of the house.
Now under the stewardship of luxury fragrance group Nichebox, Clive Christian remains at the pinnacle of niche perfumery, preserving its British legacy while shaping the future of haute fragrance.
Nichebox’s Co-founder & CEO Dino Pace and Co-founder & Marketing Director Yulia Coulon will accept Fragrance of the Year at the black-tie ceremony on Sunday, April 6, 2025 benefitting Helen Woodward Animal Center.
