As the Los Angeles community faces widespread and unprecedented adversity, The Academy of Magical Arts (AMA) and The Magic Castle®—which itself was recently endangered by the Hollywood Hills fire—are bringing a little bit of magic to the fire recovery effort and people impacted by this tragedy.
The AMA is heading a fundraising effort to raise monies and collect essentials and toiletries for people in need, asking people to bring items to the club for distribution (daily drop off through valet).
On Tuesday, Jan. 14, The Magic Castle will transform its parking lot into a haven of comfort and support, distributing deli sandwiches, chips and cookies to individuals and families facing challenges brought on by the fires—Who may also pick up donated items they need (remaining items will be donated to The Red Cross). Strolling magicians will be on hand to bring a moment of joy to attendees.
