We recently celebrated the 6th annual Daytime Beauty Awards which honors science behind beauty, health and wellness. The awards luncheon took place at the Autry Museum of the American West and of course, the theme was Western.
It was the perfect occasion to wear cowboy hats, jeans and cowboy boots. It did not take me very long to know what I wanted to wear:
I opted for a vintage jean skirt, while other guests wore traditional denim jeans.
For a top, I chose a classic beautiful button-down white blouse made of 100% India silk, which I found online at Royal Silk USA, for under $70.00. They had so many styles to choose from. With all of the compliments I received on the red carpet, I knew I chose the right blouse.
Next were the boots. I visited DSW‘s online store because they always have a fantastic selection. It took forever as they have a variety of cowboy boot styles; but I settled on the Matisse Western Boots silver metallic, encrusted with sparkling rhinestones. The rhinestones made the boots a statement piece with an elegant flair. They have an inside partial zipper closure and a 2.75″ stacked heel. Price: $154.00.
Pamela chose the Crown Vintage Sila Wide Calf Western Boots to compliment her vintage Levi jeans, Rodeo shirt and bolo tie. The off-white boots are knee-high and complete with intricate embroidery and a sleek pointed toe, leather upper with inside partial zipper closure. Price: $109.00. The vanilla shade perfectly matched the embroidered design on her rodeo shirt and the 2.25″ stacked heel was just the tight height. Comfortable to run around in but with a hint of a heel.
