Jenna Ortega Stars In Sabrina Carpenter’s “Death Becomes Her” Inspired “Taste” Video

On the heels of releasing her highly anticipated new album, Short n’ Sweet, today, Sabrina Carpenter has also shared the official music video for album opener, “Taste.”

There is a clear “Death Becomes Her” influence throughout the video, a film which starred Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn in 1992.

The Dave Meyers directed video features Jenna Ortega starring alongside Sabrina in a thrilling and exhilarating visual experience.

“Taste” is featured on Sabrina’s sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet out now – listen here. The album also includes two of her previously released singles, “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” both of which became instant chart toppers and songs of the summer. “Espresso” became the third fastest song to hit 1 Billion streams in Spotify history and “Please Please Please,” became Sabrina’s first #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

On the eve of album release last night, Sabrina joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, where she opened the show with Jimmy for a hilarious and iconic “EW!” sketch and then joined him on the couch  to talk all things Short n’ Sweet as well as perform her global smash hit, “Please Please Please” for the first time on television. Watch her performance here, see her chat here, and watch “EW!” here.

Next month, Carpenter will make her MTV Video Music Awards mainstage performance debut where she is also nominated six times including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop. Less than two weeks later, Sabrina will embark on her sold-out arena tour, the Short n’ Sweet Tour, which kicks off September 23rd in Columbus. The 33 date tour will hit cities across the US and Canada including New York, Los Angeles, Nashville, Toronto, Austin, and more. See below for full routing.
