Although Cindy Crawford‘s haircare line came out 3 years ago, I have to admit that I had yet to try her 4-step anti-aging hair care system. The time had come.
Let’s face it, getting older demands more attention to hair, skin and body, if you are determined to keep up your looks, we need to work at it. Years ago, I discovered Cindy Crawford’s Guthy-Renker owned skincare line which was developed by Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh, her own doctor. To my surprise, her products were not only performant but quite reasonable in price.
Long over due, it was time to learn more about her haircare line. It’s said to address 6 signs of aging hair by restoring shine, strength, hydration, volume, smoothness and a healthy scalp for younger-looking hair — plus it protects hair from heat and styling tools.
The system includes Restorative Scalp Treatment that contains the same Melon Leaf Stem Cell Technology in Meaningful Beauty skincare to nourish hair follicles and replenish vital amino acids on the scalp, creating the right environment for healthy hair. This scalp spray contains Procapil for reduced hair shedding from breakage. It also helps pump up hair volume and reduce frizz. Strengthening Shampoo has a plant-based alternative to keratin, plus Arginine to give hair bounce and resiliency. Smooth & Shiny Conditioner contains natural silk proteins that have been shown to double hair shine, and Amaranth, shown to increase hair strand diameter by 11%.
This system protects hair too. The 4-in-1 Styling and Protecting Spray is a primer, de-tangler, leave-in-conditioner and styling aid that protects hair from heat up to 450°F and reduces frizz by 80% for up to 72 hours — even in high humidity.
No sulfates added. Safe for color-treated hair.
The 4 steps include:
- Wash your hair with the Strengthening Shampoo.
- Then apply the Smooth & Shiny Conditioner and rinse thoroughly.
- Then comes the Restorative Scalp Treatment. Apply directly to the entire scalp. Massage into the scalp and style. You may do this on dry or wet hair.
- Last, but not least, use Styling and Protecting Spray with 450 degree heat protection. Use on wet hair before styling or dry hair between shampoos for added softness and manageability. It also help smooth ends.
