Countdown to Mother’s Day on May 12th! Fragrances are always a favorite for any occasion, especially for Mother’s Day. Many new ones are in stores and I am going to try them all!
Let me start with a bit of Givenchy perfume history:
The very first L’Interdit perfume was created by French perfumer Jean Carles for Audrey Hepburn in 1957. Carles would also create Miss Dior and Ma Griffe among others.
Several decades later, L’Interdit reemerged in 2018, and again in 2021 with L’Interdit Rouge. Then, during the summer of 2023, another version launched. This time it was called L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge Ultime by Givenchy.
The famous trio: Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo and Fanny Bal are responsible for the new amber fragrance.
When you spray it, it delivers a warm and silky woody floral essence with top notes of Tunisian Orange Blossom, Jasmine Sambac and Tunisian Neroli. The middle notes are comprised of Indian Tuberose and Cacao Pod before finishing with notes of Indonesian Patchouli Leaf, Ambroxan, Haitian Vetiver and Tobacco.
Givenchy L’Interdit Rouge Ultime is available as 35ml, 50ml, and 80ml Eau de Parfum.
