Acclaimed surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher was honored with The Beauty Enhancement Award at the 9th Hollywood Beauty Awards (HBAs) on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Avalon Hollywood.
The HBAs, coined the “Oscars of Beauty” recognize talent in hair, makeup, photography and styling for Film, TV, Music, the red carpet and editorial, as well as special honorees.
There was a unity within the beauty community that evening as celebrity hairstylists, stylists and makeup artists move to change the age-old red carpet question from “Who are you wearing?” to “Who did you hair?” – “Who did your makeup?” “Who styled you?”….
And Dr. Fisher added, “What about who did your boobs…?” (“Who did your fillers?!”) the audience applauded with laughter heard throughout the room.
The doctor’s longtime friend, Robert Shapiro made a few jokes himself. The bald-headed entrepreneur and attorney said “I think I found my hairstylist tonight…”
Stars who attended and presented at the HBAs included Emmy-Winning actress Lynn Whitfield, Dave Bautista (“Dune 2”), two-time Academy Award nominee Judd Hirsch, P.J. Byrne (“Wolf of Wall Street,” “Babylon”),“Oppenheimer” star David Krumholtz, actress Jaime King (“Lights Out”), Saniyya Sydney (“King Richard”), Rochelle Aytes (“S.W.A.T.”) and more.
The grand finale of the evening was The Timeless Beauty Award. Actress Ming-Na Wen was honored by longtime friends Joe Manganiello and Chaz Dean.
Dr. Fisher’s Beauty Enhancement Award is a career achievement which recognizes a medical professional who has dedicated their career to innovation, giving back and enhancing the confidence of patients both inside and out.
