Emmy nominated actress Naomi Grossman (American Horror Story) presented Tool of the Year to GUIDE BEAUTY founder, Terri Bryant at the 2022 Daytime Beauty Awards.
The 4th annual Daytime Beauty Awards took place on Sunday, September 11 at the Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles. The award show recognizes science behind beauty and spotlights health and wellness professionals in the fields of medicine, health, fitness, aesthetics, skincare, color and styling, cannabis, beauty innovation and more.
Imagine holding an object that suddenly restores your confidence. A tool that empowers you to be independent. When Terri Bryant created GUIDE Beauty, she shared that very feeling of self-assurance with countless women.
Originally a celebrity makeup artist and beauty educator, Terri created looks on set before teaching for brands from Dior to Stila. Eventually she led the education departments for Smashbox and Josie Maran.
Applying makeup came second nature to her, but one day Terri found herself struggling with the process, losing dexterity in her hand. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s, she turned her misfortune into a career triumph.
In 2020, Terri launched Guide Beauty, makeup tools designed to help the stability and comfort in application for those who face certain challenges with mobility. She partnered with human factors designers and clean chemists to create the vegan and cruelty-free makeup and tool line which includes: An ergonomically-designed Wand with a precision tip eyeliner applicator, a revolutionary brush collection, Brow Moment with a comfortable grip, a Lash Wrap and an eyeshadow palette.
Each tool is built with the patented GUIDE Ring, which allows your fingers to grip for a secure hold. More recently, the ever-evolving brand welcomed actress and multiple sclerosis activist Selma Blair to the team as Chief Creative Officer. Terri is changing the game in the beauty industry and developing a culture of broader inclusion through Universal Design.
The Daytime Beauty Awards benefits Helen Woodward Animal Center for their efforts 24/7, 365 days a year rescuing animals of all kinds from natural disasters, providing healthcare and forever homes.
