New Music Friday: Mills, Sinead Harnett, 1st Cousin Feat: Jelani Stokes, Paper Jackets, Captain Danger, Whitehall, Gorgon City & Drama

Mills, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, troubadour, releases his new song "Slide Thru" today along with a video. Written by Mills and Logan Turner and produced by RyKeyz, "Slide Thru" is the follow up to Mills track "Hollow" which came out last month to critical acclaim.

Sinead Harnett releases a new single from her sophomore LP, "Ready Is Always Too Late." The song is called "Last Love," and debuts a music video.

From the Funk Capital of the world, Dayton, Ohio," 1ST COUSIN Featuring Jelani Stokes," releases the new Pop/R&B Single "I Want You To Know"  Digitally distributed on all digital services by "The Orchard" (Sony Music) Produced and written by Jelani Stokes.

LA based alternative-pop band Paper Jackets has shared a new single titled “White Noise.” Written about the changes in life that happen and the importance of taking a minute to reflect on those that we might’ve missed. The track was produced & co-written by Dylan Jackson Scott (of Rad Horror), who has worked with artists such as Halsey, Dreamers, lovelytheband and more.

LA-based funk-rock trio Captain Danger shares a soulful new song + video to announce their forthcoming EP "Love Sweet Love." "Holly" is a groovy anthem that aims to cut through the noise. The video's ultra-retro Sci-Fi subplot embraces the band's playful side while leaving just enough daylight for the song's vulnerability to poke through – a catchy chorus laments modern-day missed connections.

South Carolina based indie-rock band Whitehall has shared their new single “New Hampshire," premiering now exclusively with The Alternative. The song stresses finding time for yourself and letting yourself heal, complete with a chilled-out lyric video filled with happy road-trip with your best friends vibes, a fitting visual as the song was written while the band was touring the country in pre-covid times.

Gorgon City & Drama drop the official video for their fast growing latest single “You’ve Done Enough.” The video features the literal elevation of Drama vocalist Via Rosa within an industrial Chicago warehouse setting. The video is directed by Eric Maldin who has previously worked alongside iconic brands such as Red Bull & VICE, as well as directing two previous productions for Gorgon City.
