Ava DuVernay brought the glam to the New York MET Gala red carpet, courtesy of makeup artist Adam Burrell using Milk Makeup
Here's how to recreate @Ava's Met Gala skincare prep and flawless makeup look in five simple steps for next-level glam wherever you are.
SKINCARE: Adam prepped the skin using Vegan Milk Moisturizer ($38) before applying the holy grail of primers, the Hydro Grip Primer ($34) and the brand NEW Hydro Grip Eye Primer ($24).
FACE: Adam applied Matte Foundation ($40) in Caramel + Golden Deep all over, followed by the NEW Sunshine Under Eye Tint + Brighten ($28) in shades 4 & 5 to brighten the under eyes and center of the face. To add warmth, Adam used Flex Foundation Stick ($36) in Warm Deep around the perimeter of her face. To set Ava's under eyes, he applied Translucent Medium Powder ($29) and for the rest of the face, he used Translucent Deep Powder ($29).
EYES: Adam used KUSH Gel Brow Pencil ($22) in Dark Brew to fill in and define Ava's brows before grooming and setting them into place using KUSH Clear Brow Gel ($20). He then applied Matte Bronzer in Baked ($30) all over the lid for a neutral eye color and defined the lower lash line using the Long Wear Gel Eyeliner ($22) in Bonus and smudged it out. For the feline flick, he used KUSH Liquid Eyeliner ($22) and finished the eye using KUSH Mascara ($25).
CHEEKS: After adding some definition to the cheeks using Matte Bronzer ($30) in Blaze, Adam applied a pop of color using the NEW Bionic Blush ($20) in Fly to the apples of the cheeks.
LIPS: For that true old Hollywood lip, Adam used shades OG Red ($24) and Name Drop ($24).
