L.A. Lakers Score In The Free Agent Market

The Los Angeles Lakers have been busy signing Free Agents during the hectic market. Since it began on August 6, at 12:01 AM, teams have been scurrying to make deals. So far the Lakers have resigned: guard Talen Horton-Tucker, and acquired guard Malik Monk,  guard Kendrick Nunn, forward Trevor Ariza, guard Wayne Ellington, Kent Basemore, forward Carmelo Anthony and center Dwight Howard . In addition, the Lakers make a blockbuster trade to sign all-star guard Russell Westbrook in a trade with the Washington Wizards including a 2024 second-round pick, and a 2028 second-round pick; the Wizards receive Montrezl Harrell, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Kyle Kuzma, and the Lakers' No. 22 pick in Thursday's draft, which Washington traded again to the Pacers to get Aaron Holiday.

With these newly acquired players, the Lakers hope to make another run for a championship in the 2021-22 basketball season.
