Shakespeare in Griffith Park is going live this summer.
Independent Shakespeare Co. will then move to their permanent stage at the established site at the Old Zoo next year.
Independent Shakespeare Co. is one of the first theater companies to present live, in-person performances following the pandemic, with The Tempest presented August 7 – September 5.
For this season only, reservations are required (walk-ups may not be accommodated)
The performance site is still at the Old Zoo, but farther up the hill in a wooded dell. The site is considerably smaller and seating is extremely limited, but the dell is an enchanting location for a site specific production.
