Although the family estate, headed by Mathilde and her husband Bertrand Thomas, was producing exquisite wines, it is only after their meeting with professor Joseph Vercauteren, laboratory director of the Pharmacy University of Bordeaux, that Mathilde and Bertrand learned that the grape seeds contain the most powerful antioxidants in the world. In 1995, two years after this encounter, they launched their first 3 products, containing grape seed polyphenols which still exist today.
