As Regina King said when she won her Emmy, "This is so freaking weird."
The 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards didn't look like every other year… and maybe that's a good thing. More dynamic and more dimension. From nominees awaiting the winner via zoom, to host Jimmy Kimmel in a tux on a stage set and the Schitt's Creek cast dining outside with masks on, it was definitely a new kind of production.
Actors and presenters definitely took their spotlight time to promote the "Vote" campaign this election year. The main highlight of the evening was H.E.R.'s performance of "Nothing Compares 2 U" during the memorial tribute of those in the industry who we lost throughout the past year.
