Landmark Theatres announced that The Landmark Westwood (formerly Regent Theatre) will re-open on Friday, March 6 after undergoing extensive renovation and upgrades.
The renovations have added a number of modern, state-of-the-art amenities designed to provide maximum comfort to patrons and one of the best big screen presentations of any art cinema in Los Angeles, alongside The Landmark at Westside Pavilion.
Built in 1966 and operated by Landmark since 2002, this newly revitalized single-screen theatre now features state-of-the art digital projection and sound, with audio powered by the dazzling Dolby ATMOS Sound System. Curated design enhancements include platformed, luxury leather seating imported from Spain and newly installed hardwood floors and wall coverings. The remodeled, modern restrooms now feature ADA-compliant facilities on the ground floor and a vanity area in the women's room.
Additional enhancements include a newly equipped and attractively appointed bar which will soon begin serving a variety of craft beers and wines. Guests can enjoy concessions featuring traditional cinema favorites like popcorn, available with real butter, a limited menu of pub fare, and Landmark favorites like vegan cookies and wasabi peas.
The theatre additionally boasts a new Concierge desk, designed to make it easy for guests to pick up their pre-purchased tickets and to obtain speedy assistance.
The Landmark Westwood is located at 1045 Broxton Avenue between Weyburn and Kinross in Westwood. In addition to The Landmark Westwood, Landmark Theatres currently operates two additional theatres in West LA including The Landmark on Pico Blvd. and the historic Nuart Theatre on Santa Monica Blvd.
