House Speaker Paul Ryan spoke at a news conference post Election day. He called for unity following the election of Donald Trump Wednesday morning, saying the Republican nominee “just earned a mandate.”
"Donald Trump heard a voice in this country that no one else heard," he added.
“Donald Trump will lead a unified Republican government,” Ryan said. He noted that he spoke with both Trump and Pence twice since the election results.
