Serena Williams equals Steffi Graf's Grand Slam tally of 22 by winning her 7th Wimbledon title, beating Angelique Kerber.
Kerber beat Williams in the Australian Open final for her first Grand Slam title. Williams also reached the final at the French Open, but lost to Garbine Muguruza.
Serena and Venus Williams will also play in the women's doubles final on Saturday. The American sisters will face fifth-seeded Timea Babos of Hungary and Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan.
This marks Williams' 28th major final. No woman has appeared in more Grand Slam finals in the Open Era than Chris Evert, who played for a major 34 times, while Martina Navratilova did so 32 times (they each finished their careers with 18 Slams).
