Kork-Ease & Free People Fashion Match Made In Heaven

Shoe powerhouse Kork-Ease has partnered with Free People to unveil their first collaborative item to date, presenting the Original and most iconic platform of the '70s. This skyscraping archival style is reintroduced as the HEIGHTS platform.

Since its debut as the go-to shoe for '70s counter-culture and disco-fiends, the Kork-Ease Original Wedge has stood as the iconic silhouette of the platform sandal. With the resurgence of 70s-inspired fashion, Kork-Ease and Free People decided it was the right moment to introduce this beloved classic to a new generation.

The ultimate festival platform for Spring 2016, the HEIGHTS platform stays true to the simple and clean design of the Original with a 4-inch platform, iconic cross straps and suede wrapped wedge.  Kork-Ease and Free People pay homage to the brand's rich heritage by stamping this shoe with the Original Kork-Ease logo exclusively for this collection.

"We have been waiting for the perfect moment to put this shoe back on shelves. When Free People approached us for this exclusive, it was a no-brainer; their brand champions the femininity, courage and spirit of Kork-Ease," said Tom McClaskie, Kork-Ease Creative Director. "We dug into our archives and brought back a mold from the early collection to create this shoe."

"We've always loved Kork-Ease with its iconic seventies vibe. We were thrilled by the chance to collaborate on the revival of their original platform, a true classic re-imagined," said Kathryn Schutt, DMM Shoes & Accessories at Free People.

The HEIGHTS platform is available in four colors: rust suede, caramel suede, rainbow snake embossed leather, and bleached stained denim. Renowned for comfort, each shoe has a leather cushioned foot bed, leather lined straps, and a rubber sole.

Made in Brazil, the HEIGHTS platform wedge is available exclusively at select Free People stores, FreePeople.com and KorkEase.com.
