LATF cover star and multi-platinum, GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen premiered the video for her new single, “Run Away With Me,” earlier this morning on The Today Show. The track is also available for purchase via all digital retailers as of today.
“I didn't even know we were making a music video until about halfway through it,” says Jepsen of the DIY-looking video, which was directed by David Kalani Larkins and shot during Jepsen’s travels.
“David always has a camera in his hand and he has a way about him that makes you forget that it's there. It became a part of our daily adventure on the road to film as we went. Promo tour can be a blur and I can remember watching over his shoulder as he uploaded the footage, recounting memories of the trip that I had almost already forgotten. This project became a way for us to slow down time and preserve the moments from magical places like Paris, New York, and Japan.”
“Run Away With Me” is the second single from Jepsen’s upcoming new album E·MO·TION, which will be released on August 21st in the U.S. via Schoolboy Records/Interscope.
