Box Office: Moviegoers Wanted “The Hobbit” For The Holidays

Battle of Five Armies box officeAccording to Rentrak, Warner Bros.’ “Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” loomed large over the global box office landscape as it grossed $89.2 million this weekend internationally, with approximately 11.6 million admissions on 17.1k screens in 62 markets as the international total crosses the $400 million milestone & the worldwide total is now at an astounding $573.6 million.

On the domestic end, Angelina Jolie’s “Unbroken” came in 2nd place, just shy above “Into The Woods.”
