The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank Hosts 12th Annual Season For Sharing

Los Angeles Food Bank Season For Sharing

As the holidays quickly approach, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank will hold its 12th annual Season for Sharing benefit luncheon, Friday, Nov. 14th at the downtown JW Marriott.

Chris “C.J.” Jacobson, a Top Chef contestant and guest judge, will host the event, which will raise funds for the L.A. Regional Food Bank as well as recognize supporters for their leadership, dedication and generosity throughout the year. This year’s honorees are Delta, the Nesbitt Foundation and Target.

Ralphs/Food 4 Less will kick off the 2015 holiday season of caring and sharing for people in our community by presenting a check for $50,000 to the Food Bank as the Leadership Sponsor of the luncheon.

Jacobson, a.k.a. Chef C.J., first appeared on the third season of Bravo’s Top Chef and was a semi-finalist. He later served as a guest judge and returned in 2014 for Top Chef Duels, where he emerged victorious. As part of an online voting component of the competition, Chef C.J. designated the Food Bank as his charity of choice. A California native, he truly cares about his community and has a profound respect for the hyper-seasonal, local ingredients he brings into his kitchen at Girasol in Studio City, Calif.

“We are grateful for Chef C.J. and all of this year’s honorees and sponsors for their commitment to helping us work toward our vision that no one goes hungry in Los Angeles County,” said Michael Flood, president & CEO of the L.A. Regional Food Bank. “And we are particularly grateful to Ralphs/Food 4 Less for their amazingly generous commitment with a donation of $50,000, which will help feed thousands of families this holiday season and into the new year. By working together, we can make a big difference.”
