The Harlem Globetrotters Leap For A Cause

Leaping for a great cause, Harlem Globetrotter superstars Scooter Christensen and Wun Versher join youths from Park Century School to jump rope in mass for “Jump Rope For Heart,” a fundraiser with the American Heart Association during Heart Awareness Month. This year it takes place on February 12th. While also showcasing their awesome basketball skills, the famous players in red, white, and blue, will speak about the benefits of regular activity to improve cardiovascular conditioning and combat heart disease.

Founded in 1968 as an independent, not for profit, coeducational day school, Park Century understands the specific educational needs of children who learn differently. Serving students ages 7 to 14, the school is built upon on the conviction that learning differences need to be addressed by an individualized, child centered curriculum in an empathic supportive environment emphasizing academic success, maturity and independence.

Jump Rope For Heart teaches students about the importance of exercise while students raise lifesaving funds for the AHA, and this year marks the 35th birthday for “Jump Rope For Heart.” The event at Park Century is part of the Globetrotters community outreach program that connects players with fans prior to their “Fan’s Rule” World Tour premiere at Honda Center (2/15), STAPLES Center (2/16) and Citizen’s Business Bank Arena in Ontario (2/17).

To see them in action, February 12th at 3939 Landmark Street, Culver City, CA from 9:30AM to 10:30AM.
