Famed for its relaxing and tranquil surrounds, the Maldives played host to an extravagant launch party on Friday 21st February 2014 where Nicole Scherzinger was invited to perform and help launch The Sun Siyam Iru Fushi – the first and flagship branded property of the new Sun Siyam Resorts in the presence of His Excellency President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom and leading local entrepreneur Hon. Ahmed Siyam Mohamed.
Following formal ceremonies and a huge beach BBQ held under the stars, entertainment for the evening included artists from the capital Male, local/neighbouring Maldivian islands and also from Sri Lanka with the surprise headlining act being revealed as Nicole Scherzinger.
Nicole performed some of her most famous tracks, including the renowned Pussycat Dolls ‘Don’t Cha’ and ‘Right There’ from her album ‘Killer Love’ on a large stage constructed on the white sands just meters from the turquoise sea and under a star-lit sky where she wowed the invited audience with an incredible 45-minute set.
