Spring Celebration At The Intercontinental Century City Hotel

Last night, friends and clients of the iconic Intercontinental Century City Hotel attended a private reception hosted by Steve Choe, GM and Robert Nichols, Special Events Director. During the course of the evening, Chef Jonathan Wood unveiled his new Spring menu, which was presented under the form of five different buffets including: sushi, fresh seafood, Asian fusion, Chinese pork buns and s’mores. Absolutely delicious! Outside of the Grand Ballroom, Pastry Chef Orlando Maldonado treated us to his divine desserts. And as if that was not enough, you could go to the candy station and tailor your own bag. Yummy!

The highlight of the evening was the Schimmel see-through grand piano, which per Richard Marcello belonged to the late Whitney Houston. The piano had been in storage in New Jersey and was recently discovered with a wardrobe trunk filled with evening gowns. The piano and gowns will stay on display for the next two weeks at the hotel and everyone is welcome to check it out!
