According to Deadline, director Tate Taylor‘s James Brown feature will be released on October 17, 2014.
Titled “Get On Up”, the movie marks Taylor’s first directorial outing since his Oscar nominated “The Help” released in 2011.
This news breaks after Monday’s confirmation that “42″ star Chadwick Boseman has been inked to play Brown.
“Get On Up” chronicles Brown’s journey from poverty to the top of the music charts.
