Mayor Bob Filner has officially signed his letter of resignation. Pending City Council approval, Filner could be out of office by the end of the day.
The City Council will hold a meeting at 1 p.m. this afternoon to consider Filner’s mediation proposal. Filner will be allowed to voice his own comments during the City Council meeting.
