As of Monday, the MLB is likely to suspend Alex Rodriguez for another 212 games. This news has been brought to the public by Bob Nightengale of the USA Today.
According to Nightengale, Rodriguez plans to appeal any suspension pinned on the player.
If the Yankees’ star appeals the suspension, the Yankees has informed the media that they plan to activate him from the DL and put him in the starting lineup. Yankees club manager Joe Girardi has confirmed that he will put Rodriguez into the lineup if he is allowed to play.
The MLB has opted against ristricting Rodriguez’s right to play while he appeals to avoid a court battle with the MLBPA. The MLB also wants to avoid the notion that they are not giving A-Rod his due process.
