The world’s favorite Canadian superstar, Justin Bieber, is having quite the week. His brand new album, “Believe Acoustic,” (released January 29th) immediately rocketed to a #1 Soundscan debut with first week sales of 211,000 units. He then was crowned the #1 most-followed person on Twitter with more than 33.9 million followers, while at the same time becoming the only artist in history to have five #1 albums before turning 19. Oh yeah, and he’s also this weekend’s Saturday Night Live host.
As if that wasn’t enough, they’ve also tallied the ubiquitous pop sensation’s total music video views on Vevo at just around 3.3 billion and 3 billion on YouTube (again, placing him in a record-breaking category all his own). All this swirling good-will publicity may be hard to believe, but as his record title urges you: believe it. Bieber is doing an excellent job of not only staying on top as the prince of pop, but in climbing just a little farther up simply because he can.
Usually we’d tell you where to catch him next, but it seems like these days he’d be pretty hard to miss. Look online, on your television, tune into your radio, or even walk into your local record stores, and he’ll be there.
