‘Action’ Speaks Louder Than ‘Fantasy’ At The Box Office

Die HardWith all of the media hype and commercial ads, one would think the film Beautiful Creatures would be the top money maker in its opening weekend; what with all of the “Twilight” fans going through YA (young adult) romance withdrawal. But that was not the case this weekend. A Good Day to Die Hard is the new No.1 film in the world, with an estimated weekend gross of $86.5 million and a new total of $113.3 million. This is the best ever international weekend for the Die Hard franchise. Here’s the top ten at the box office:

  7. Side Effects – Open Road – $6.3M
