Two new four legged competitors are going to be allowed to battle for the coveted purple and yellow ribbon this year at Westminster. It was announced today that the Treeing Walker Coonhound and the Russell Terrier are gaining entrance into this fiercely competitive dog show. Profiling the crème de la crème of man’s best friend since its inception 137 years ago, for these working dogs, the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show truly means they’ve made it.
Sadly it looks like two of our office dogs, Boone (Goldendoodle) and Laurie (mixed pup) will have to wait until 2014 for their shot at the big time.
