Just days after the tragic shooting that killed 20 children and 6 adults at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, CT, 42-year-old Marcos Gurrola opened fire in the parking lot at Fashion Island mall in Newport Beach, CA. Luckily no one was injured. Police arrested Gurrola after he fired about 50 shots, forcing a frenzy of scared customers to seek shelter and a lockdown of stores. What is going on? There have been far too many horrific killings caused by guns and rifles. It was only a few days after the Oregon shopping mall shooting that Adam Lanza went on a killing spree. In Oregon, the killer was identified as Jacob Roberts. He killed two people, Cindy Ann Yuille and Steve M. Forsyth.
