Call of Duty: Black Ops II Hits Big At Video Game Box Office

And you thought the Twilight movies made money? Video games have an even bigger demand these days. Distribution and Publishing companies put a large sum of money into game trailers and advertising.

Well, Activision’s campaign for “Call of Duty: Black Ops II” paid off. In just 24 hours, the games’ sales topped $500 million worldwide. 

This is the biggest entertainment launch of the year for Activision. The franchise kicked off in 2003 and is now a multibillion dollar game series, beating box office records of mega films such as Harry Potter and Star Wars.
