Carly Rae Jepsen, the pop princess that dominated summer radio with her #1 hit, “Call Me Maybe,” has just released the music video for her upbeat single, “This Kiss,” off of her debut album, “Kiss.” The video, which received 600,000 hits on YouTube in less than two days, shows the effervescent Jepsen hopping out of a car and into a club with a group of girlfriends. While inside, she acts out the lyrical drama in her song which laments being stuck with a boyfriend when what she really wants to do is lock lips with another man. Though the club (and even the song’s subject) might be a little darker than what fans expect from the singer, Jepsen’s smile and the track’s peppy tempo still lets this tune sound like another fun and happy song, following in the footsteps of her breakout hit.
