The 3rd Annual Mid-Autumn ‘Year of the Dragon’ Festival Benefits The Mulligan Project

On September 15th, 2012, Emmy award-winning husband and wife producing team Lisa Lew and Peter Brennan generously hosted the Mid-Autumn Festival gala with proceeds benefiting The Mulligan Project. The evening featured live entertainment with lion dancers, American Idol artists, a fashion show from ‘Project Runway’ designers, Asian cuisine and all for a good cause. The Mulligan Project is a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of children with disabilities in Central Vietnam through special education, physical therapy and speech therapy.

Executive Director of the charity, Kelly Gonzales announced in her speech that last year, with the help of this event, the foundation was able to build a hospital clinic in Central Vietnam. This helped support for surgeries, healthcare, special education, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and above all, dignity to many young children. While the Vietnamese government provides food and shelter to their disabled, The Mulligan Project fills in the gaps helping the most vulnerable of children to achieve their best possible physical and emotional potential. TMP is in partnership with the British-based non-profit that is on the ground in Vietnam.
