America is finally going to get a taste of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Kiss,” her U.S. debut album due out September 18th. Today the Canadian singer-songwriter is digitally releasing the record’s brand new single, “This Kiss,” co-written by Jepsen and produced by LMFAO’s Redfoo and Cherrytree/Interscope artist Matthew Koma.
This new song comes on the heels of the multi-platinum success of her breakout hit, “Call Me Maybe,” which sold more than 9.1 million singles worldwide, climbed to #1 in more than 37 countries, and spent a record-breaking nine weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100.
To celebrate her newest album, Jepsen will return to The Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform her first single on September 18th. Jepsen will also be hitting the road this fall with Justin Bieber as a very special guest on the multi-platinum Pop/R&B star’s 2012 headlining tour of North America.
