If you haven’t read or heard of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ by now, you must be living in a remote cave. The ‘erotic’ novel, which swept the nation has sold 31 million copies worldwide. While the film version is still underway with no official cast announcements, it’s not too late to catch up on the sultry story. The tale tells the romance between the naïve Anastasia Steele and the tormented entrepeneur, Christian Grey. As readers fell for Grey’s riches and charms, Anastasia finally had enough of his spanking and walked away from his fetishes and dark secrets. But there wouldn’t be a trilogy if she didn’t have second thoughts. The next installment, ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ proves that desire is stronger than logic. It’s a must summer read and just as addicting as the first novel.
We won’t give you any major spoilers but let’s just say, Ana can’t resist Grey’s proposal for a new arrangement. There’s more communication, more lavish gifts and even some ‘Single White Female’ action. Grey’s past lovers come out of the woodwork to haunt Anastasia and attempt to threaten and destroy her not so fairy tale love story. It’s a page turner.
