Some people do amazing things — Sam Simon is one of them. 20 years ago he co-created the hit animated Fox series, “The Simpsons.” On May 16th, he announced on the podcast airwaves that he was given the prognosis of three to six months to live and that he will donate nearly all of his royalties from the series to various charities.
How much? Millions.
Simon has been battling terminal colon cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy post-surgery.
Regarding his donations, the Emmy Award winning writer/producer told Hollywood Reporter, “I get pleasure from it. I love it. I don’t feel like it is an obligation.”
