Supermodel Heidi Klum is following the lead of Spice Girls’ singer Mel B, becoming a judge for America’s Got Talent. This news comes on the heels of Sharon Osbourne’s announcement that she was leaving the show after a dispute with NBC. The two new judges will join remaining members, Howard Stern and Howie Mandel for the upcoming season. Klum took to her twitter to confirm her new position tweeting, “Excited 2 join @HowardStern @howiemandel @OfficialMelB & @NickCannon on @nbcagt as new judge! Will be so fun.”
Considering the low viewership for last year’s finale, producers are likely hoping that this infusion of famous females will have the power to revive their ratings. As to whether or not that will actually be the case, well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. The new season premieres May 28th on NBC.
