The Benefits of Greenleaf Linens Bamboo Sheets For A Good Night Sleep

As National Sleep Day approaches, it’s an opportune moment to reflect on the elements that contribute to a restful night’s sleep. According to the National Institute of Health, as many as one in three Americans report not getting enough sleep, and between 50 and 70 million people suffer from sleep disorders.

Recognizing the pivotal role of quality bedding in promoting better sleep, Greenleaf Linens, under the leadership of founder Chad Stewart, has been at the forefront of merging luxury with sustainability.

A key highlight of their product line is the use of bamboo fabrics, renowned for their exceptional softness, breathability, and hypoallergenic properties. These attributes not only enhance comfort but also cater to individuals with sensitive skin or allergies.

In an exclusive interview, Chad Stewart delves into his journey, the inception of Greenleaf Linens, and how their innovative approach to bedding is transforming sleep experiences.

Chad, tell us about yourself and your journey up to starting Greenleaf Linens?

I spent years as the founder and CEO of a software company, building cutting-edge tech solutions, but I always felt like I could be doing more—something with a tangible, positive impact on both people and the planet.

During a particularly stressful time, I was not getting enough sleep, and even when I was in bed, my sleep quality was poor. That is when I discovered bamboo sheets. While my first purchase was not the highest quality, it completely transformed my sleep. That was my lightbulb moment. I saw an opportunity to create something better—more luxurious, sustainable, and truly toxin-free bedding. That is how Greenleaf Linens was born: with the mission to help people feel better and sleep better while making choices that are better for the Earth.

So many are concerned with toxins, etc. in their mattresses, pads and linens. You guarantee 100% toxin-free, what is it about the making of your linens and items that ensure toxic free?

Those concerns are well-founded. The pervasiveness of synthetic fabrics and plastics in bedding is truly staggering.

For us, it comes down to a few key principles that are woven into the fabric of our company: sustainability, material integrity, and certification.

Greenleaf Linens products are OEKO-TEX® certified, meaning they are rigorously tested for harmful chemicals at every stage of production. Our bamboo fabric is made through a closed-loop process that ensures no toxic residues are left behind.

e also completely avoid plastic in both our products and packaging—no microplastics, no synthetic fillers, just pure, natural materials designed for healthy, restorative sleep.

Let’s talk about the organic bamboo process. How did you come to the decision to use bamboo?

Bamboo was the obvious choice because it is one of the most sustainable plants on Earth. It grows incredibly fast, requires no pesticides, uses primarily rainwater, and can be harvested without killing the plant.

Beyond sustainability, it is the perfect material for bedding—naturally soft, breathable, moisture-wicking, and the temperature-regulating effects deliver a cool sleep every night. Once I set out to create Earth’s Comfiest Bedding, I knew it had to be bamboo. I had to share that experience with others in a way that aligned with my values of luxury, sustainability, and ethical production.
