Rock The Weekend 11/23/12-11/25/12

FRIDAY 11/23

Cypress Hill

Where: The House of Blues

Friday night Sunset Blvd’s House of Blues will be rattling with the thumping hip hop beats from the Cuban-American group, Cypress Hill. These rappers that made the world wonder what it was like to live large like a “Rock Superstar,” have sold over 18 million albums worldwide. There’s no better place to see these California-natives perform their West Coast rap tracks than L.A.

SATURDAY 11/24

The Counting Crows

Where: The Wiltern

This Saturday the emotive crunchy granola rock band from Berkeley is coming to Los Angeles. The Wiltern will be packed with fans of The Counting Crows’ thoughtful early 90’s hits like “Mr. Jones” and “Long December.” Don’t miss your chance to see the delightfully-dredded Adam Duritz sing his slow gravely tunes live. With such a lengthy catalogue of tracks, this is sure to be a great show.

No Doubt

Where: The Gibson Theatre

When No Doubt comes to Los Angeles, they really make sure they cover all their bases. Keeping with their unique style, this famously popular group won’t simply be passing through tinsel town; they’re setting up shop and staying for a while. Starting on Saturday and lasting until December 6th, the newly reunited band will be playing seven shows at L.A.’s Gibson Theatre. As an even bigger bonus, they have some great opening acts performing with them like Grouplove and Fitz And The Tantrums.

SUNDAY 11/125

New Found Glory

Where: The Troubadour

West Hollywood’s Troubadour Theatre will be invaded by the pop punk pioneers, New Found Glory, on Sunday night. This weekend the RIAA certified gold rockers that gave the world angsty hits like “My Friends Over You” will be brining their late 90’s style to Los Angeles. With nine albums on Billboard’s charts, this band will definitely have no shortage of tracks to choose from.
