Ming-Na Wen and Shemar Moore To Be Honored at 9th Hollywood Beauty Awards

The annual Hollywood Beauty Awards (HBAs) will celebrate their 9th year honoring the architects of beauty on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Avalon Hollywood.

The HBAs recognize talent in hair, makeup, photography and styling for Film, TV, Music, the red carpet and editorial, as well as special honorees.

Each year, the HBAs honor two iconic figures with The Timeless Beauty Award and The Gentleman’s Award. These two honorees are recognized for their career achievements and the positive influence and impact they have made throughout their lives; through their humanitarian efforts and life examples.

Today, the HBAs announced that they will honor Disney Legend, Ming-Na Wen with The Timeless Beauty Award and Daytime Emmy Award winner Shemar Moore with The Gentleman’s Award.

Ming-Na Wen and Shemar Moore will accept their honoree awards at the black-tie dinner ceremony on March 3rd.

Ming-Na Wen broke barriers by becoming the first Asian American contract actor in a daytime drama on “As the World Turns.”  She followed that with a seven-year run on the Emmy Award-winning NBC series “ER.” From Broadway to film, she was named a DISNEY LEGEND for giving life to such characters as “Mulan,” Agent May in “Marvel’s Agents of Shield” and ‘June’ in “The Joy Luck Club” based upon Amy Tan’s novel. With a starring voice in HBO Max’s “Gremlins: Secrets of Mogwai,” she recently starred in“The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett.” A part of BBC’s 100 most influential women and People Magazine’s 50 most beautiful people; this past year, Ming-Na was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Shemar Moore is an award-winning actor, model and philanthropist. He has starred as Derek Morgan on the hit crime drama “Criminal Minds” since its premiere in 2005. Previously, Shemar’s portrayal of Malcolm Winters on “The Young and the Restless” earned him a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.  He has also been nominated for Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series and won eight NAACP Image Awards. Currently, Shemar stars in CBS’ hit TV show S.W.A.T. In 1998, Shemar’s mother, Marilyn Wilson, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Since then, he has been committed to raising awareness about the disease and is a spokesperson for the National MS Society.

The HBAs award ceremony will benefit Helen Woodward Animal Center.
