Friday night Downtown’s Club Nokia will host the indie rock band, Minus the Bear. On the scene for over a decade, this group that loves to experiment with different sounds and styles will be playing tracks from the five albums and four EPs they’ve cut over the years. With three top ten records on Billboard’s Independent chart, these electronic rockers are the epitome of indie success. Always drawing a faithfully invested and raucous crowd, Minus the Bear puts on an extremely entertaining live show any fan of alternative music won’t want to miss.

Where: Greek Theatre
This weekend, the group that taught the world to walk arm in arm, is headed to Los Angeles’ Greek Theater. Even with the loss of beloved singer, Davey Jones, The Monkees sing on, breathing life back into their fun international pop hits like, “I’m a Believer,” and “Daydream Believer.” Get a firsthand glimpse of what the trippy 1960’s were like this Saturday with this always-jovial band.
Where: Hollywood Bowl
Mumford and Sons, the English folk rock group that is now playing on repeat on every alternative hipster playlist, is coming to the Hollywood Bowl. A favorite throughout the world, in 2010 Mumford and Sons won the AIRA Music Award for Most Popular International Artist. Getting widespread critical acclaim in a variety of countries, this twangy quartet is a must-see Saturday night.
