The 8th annual Hollywood Beauty Awards (HBAs), founded by CEO Michele Elyzabeth, will honor the architects of beauty on Thursday, March 9th, 2023 at the Taglyan in Los Angeles.
The HBAs recognize talent in hair, makeup, photography and styling for film, TV, music, the red carpet and editorial, as well as special honorees. Every year, the HBAs celebrate a Fragrance of the Year.
The HBAs announced that Ciara and Russell Wilson will be honored with the 2023 Fragrance of the Year award for R&C Fragrance.
In 2016, the HBAs premiered Fragrance of the Year when Johnny Depp presented to DIOR’s then-President Pamela Baxter for Sauvage.
In 2017, Paris Hilton was honored for Gold Rush, presented by Perfumania’s CEO Stephen Nussdorf.
Britney Spears made a rare red carpet and stage appearance in 2018 when she accepted Fragrance of the Year for her perfume empire. Ronald Rolleston of Revlon made the trip from NYC to present the special achievement to Britney.
Other past HBA Fragrance of the Year honorees include Estee Lauder’s Luxury Collection presented by William Lauder and Mugler.
Luxury fragrance houses have been recognized in other categories including The International Beauty Award and The Innovation Award. At last year’s ceremony, Molly Ringwald presented to AMOUAGE’s CEO Marco Parsiegla.
In September, Theo Spilka received The Innovation Award on behalf of Firmenich. Paula Abdul, a friend of Spilka’s, presented at the Daytime Beauty Awards; the sister show to the HBAs.
Ciara will accept the award on stage on March 9th at the Taglyan in Los Angeles.
