Following the bleak period of the second World War, women were ready to experience whatever the world had to offer. It was in 1947 when Miss Dior made its debut in the world of fragrances.
The scent was synonymous of renewed happiness, poetry, and harmony. It was a new beginning for Christian Dior and the rest of the world. Over the years, Miss Dior perfume has experienced many reincarnations mainly due to the flowers harvested for the making of the fragrance each year.
Dior’s in-house perfumer François Demachy announced the rebirth of the new Miss Dior in September 2021.
Based on the note of Centifolia rose, with its honey and peppery notes, which reigns over the extremely creamy velvety heart. It is embroidered with fresh lily of the valley, peony and powdery notes of iris. The base has woody, earthy and vanilla aromas.
Demachy said that the rose in this version is a little more spicy, and that he added fruity aromas of apricot and peach to it.
As usual Miss Dior is just delightful and still one of my favorites. Perfect to gift for the holidays.
