I am learning more about kosher wines as Passover is approaching and discovering excellent wines that I would like to share with you. “Appellation Cabernet Sauvignon-Shiraz 2018,” which is made in Israel, is the perfect example.
Produced in Carmel’s first winery, it is located in the city of Rishon LeZion in Galilee. The winery was built in 1890 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild, making it the oldest industrial building in Israel, still in use today. The winery is the largest winery in Israel in terms of production of wines, spirits, and grape juice.
The Appellation Cab-Shiraz is a blend with a deep purple color with notes of blackberry, spice and dark chocolate flavors. Dry yet fruity with a full bodied and a long-balanced finish. It is aged in oak for 12 months and is imported by Royal Wine Corp in New York.
