Over 13,000 runners took to the streets of Los Angeles on Sunday, November 7th running the Los Angeles Marathon presented by Asics.
The route changed post-pandemic. Instead of ending in Santa Monica with their 'Stadium to Sea' campaign, the route ended at Avenue of the Stars. With over 1,000 feet of elevation gain, the course proved to be challenging with hills from the start to the end… and even a hill in mile 26!
LATF's Pamela Price ran the 26.2 miles as an Asics athlete all while doing the @lamarathon Instagram takover.
Natasha Cockram (UK/Wales) was the 2021 women’s Los Angeles Marathon champion finishing in 2:33:17 and Kenya’s John Korir was the men's champion finishing 2:12:48).

There are so many types of runners on the course proving to be superheroes as they race from Dodgers Stadium to Century City. We met Rick going up a hill outside of Downtown Los Angeles. Talk about determination.
