Daytime Beauty Awards Honor Dr. Stafford Broumand With Aesthetics Award

It's about time that we battle the stigma that surrounds plastic surgery. Many plastic surgeons are saving the lives of children, including Dr. Stafford Broumand. 

The Daytime Beauty Awards honored Dr. Broumand with Outstanding Achievement in Aesthetics on Sunday, September 12th. Longtime friends, William Lauder and Karen Lauder co-presented the award. 

The award show recognizes science behind beauty and spotlights health and wellness professionals in the fields of dentistry, medicine, health and fitness, aesthetics, skincare, color and styling, cannabis, beauty innovation and more.

Danielle Lauder, actress, entrepreneur and the great-granddaughter of Estée Lauder, officiated as the Ambassador for this year’s Daytime Beauty Awards.

The 2021 honorees included: Paula Abdul (Outstanding Achievement in Health), Dr. Moncef Slaoui, former Chief Scientist for the U.S. government’s Covid vaccine development effort (Special Tribute Award), Chris Appleton (Outstanding Achievement in Fitness), Gary Archer (Outstanding Achievement in Dentistry), Dr. Stafford Broumand (Outstanding Achievement in Aesthetics), Dr. Andrew Caster (Outstanding Achievement in Medicine), Tracey Cunningham (Outstanding Achievement in Color and Styling), Michaeline DeJoria for John Paul Mitchell Systems (Brand of the Year), Nancy Duitch and Nicole Kidman for Sera Labs (The Breakthrough Award), Gary Trudell for Custom Comfort Mattress (The Sleeping Beauty Award), Rea Ann Silva for Beautyblender (Tool of the Year), Erica Skynn for Derm7 (The Innovation Award) and Imelda Walavalkar & Tracy Anderson (The Zen Award for Pure Beauty).

Dr. Stafford R. Broumand, a board-certified plastic surgeon established his practice in 1993

Armed with an Ivy League pedigree of diplomas, Dr. Broumand maintains an active membership in the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and the New York State Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is currently a Professor of Plastic Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Broumand specializes in facial rejuvenation, which focuses on facelift and eyelids, as well as breasts. Another of his skills involves sternal wound reconstruction, including abdominal wall reconstruction, a surgical procedure used to restore the structural and functional integrity of the abdominal muscles.

Relentlessly committed to providing compassionate treatments and natural looking results for every patient, he is an avid believer in giving back. Dr. Broumand volunteers his services with Aproquen to help in providing reconstructive surgeries for underprivileged children in Central America suffering from severe burns resulting in disfigurement.

To this day, Dr. Stafford Broumand professes that plastic surgery is the most artistic of all surgeries, because it is the combination of medicine and artistry.

This year’s event featured a silent auction and cocktails followed by a luncheon and the award ceremony. The Daytime Beauty Awards benefits Helen Woodward Animal Center for their efforts 24/7, 365 days a year rescuing animals of all kinds from natural disasters, providing healthcare and forever homes.
