J.Crew Group, Inc. announced the launch of a new initiative last Friday. J.Crew Mercantile will feature a collection of value-driven merchandise with classic J.Crew style for women, men and children. Although the line is currently only available online or J. Crew Factory outlets, the launch J.Crew Mercantile stores will make the collection more accessible to customers looking to get the affordable, yacht party look.
The first J.Crew Mercantile location is planned to open in late July at The Shops at Park Lane in Dallas, TX.Spokeswoman Margot Fooshee said there will be additional stores opening in malls and strip centers in the future.
