In response to the recently revealed audio between Clippers’ owner Donald Sterling and his girlfriend, it has been confirmed that Sterling has been fined $2.5 million dollars and suspended indefinitely.
NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver said in a press conference, “He may not be present at any Clippers’ facility – and he may not participate in any business…”
Silver added that he will fine Sterling $2.5 million, the maximum fine amount allowed. The funds will be donated to chosen foundations. The NBA Commissioner ended with, “We stand together in condeming Mr. Sterling’s views. They simply have no place in the NBA.”
“Whether or not these remarks were initially shared private, they are now public and [show] his views.”
